Inland Marine Expo Article in the Waterways Journal Weekly
On page 5 of the most recent volume of the Waterways Journal Weekly, Vol. 129 No. 15, is an article called “LNG, Z-Drive Presentations Draw Crowds To Educational Seminars”. The article includes information regarding the presentation given by Ed Shearer, P.E., TSGI’s principal naval architect, at an educational seminar at the Inland Marine Expo. New Orleans, Louisiana – International WorkBoat Show- December 3rd, 2014 –Conrad Shipyard, L.L.C. and The Shearer Group, Inc. (TSGI) have worked together to develop the design of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) powered towboat utilizing a proven design from TSGI. The team has been awarded an “Approval in Principle” (AIP) by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for the design of the 4,200 horsepower LNG towboat.
