Seabrook, Texas –September 24th, 2015 – The Shearer Group, Inc. (TSGI) is proud to announce that Living Lands & Waters has taken delivery of a TSGI designed 150’ x 32’ x 5’ crane barge. The barge was built by Yager Marine, located in Owensboro, KY. TSGI donated its design and engineering of the barge to Living Lands & Waters in support of their initiative to improve the environment. The barge will help Living Lands & Waters continue their mission of removing garbage from the Ohio River.
The barge is equipped with a stern ramp to accommodate a small towboat, bulwarks to contain deck loads of trash, handrails for personal protection, and other appurtenances. A John Deere Model 210G hydraulic crawler crane rigged for grab work is also installed and the uniquely designed coamings along either side of the barge will help hold the trash being collected.
