Cutter Suction Dredge

TSGI was contracted by Mike Hooks, LLC. to provide engineering consulting, review and construction oversight services for a new non-self-propelled 27” Cutter Suction Dredge with an idler barge extension, walking spud, and other accommodations. TSGI is providing a complete technical review of the contract design for Mike Hooks, using Bureau Veritas (BV) guidelines without classification, evaluating structural arrangements, mechanical system design, stability, and electrical systems, as well as comparing both BV and ABS rules to determine the suitability of the design for the intended service. In addition, TSGI is providing construction oversight for Mike Hooks including routine site inspections of the vessel during construction.
