800T Crane

TSGI was hired by Brayman Construction & Trumbull to develop a detailed level structural design for the construction of a 180’x53’x8’ inland crane barge. The crane barge was designed to mount a Manitowac 888 Ringer Crane in support of a West Virginia Department of Transportation construction project in Nitro, WV on the Kanawha River. TSGI worked with Brayman to investigate a range of barge principal dimensions and ultimately developed a design that would allow the vessel to traverse narrow sections of the intercoastal waterways while still being able to utilize the crane to its full capacity.
