TSGI was contracted by Southwest Shipyard to complete the detail design and regulatory approval for the repower of TXDOT Ferry John W. Johnson from diesel-electric to diesel-electric with battery propulsion. The ferry has a similar system as the TXDOT’s new ferry that is currently under construction.
